Her performance in artistic gymnastics attracted a host of A-list celebrities, reminiscent of Paris Fashion Week.
As per BBC, the seven-time Olympic medallist performed in front of a star-studded audience including Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Tom Cruise, American Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, and Snoop Dogg. Grande, accompanied by Cynthia Erivo, greeted Wintour and Australian film director Baz Luhrmann.
Higher in the stands, Nick Jonas chatted with John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen, while actress Jessica Chastain was also present to witness Biles’ performance.
Biles, often hailed as the greatest of all time (GOAT) in women’s gymnastics, has an impressive collection of medals including four Olympic golds and 30 world championship medals.
Despite a minor left calf injury sustained during warm-ups, Biles led the US team to first place in their qualifying session.
Meanwhile, Biles’ leg was taped, but she still achieved the highest score on the floor (14.6) and finished first on the vault.
Biles captivated the audience with her acrobatic beam routine and energetic floor program, which included one of her signature skills. She also executed the Biles II vault but chose not to attempt her new skill on the uneven bars. #BilesParisGames
