Klopp has signed a long-term contract with Red Bull and will begin his new role on January 1, 2025. Red Bull owns five football teams, including RB Leipzig, New York Red Bulls, and Red Bull Salzburg. In his new role, Klopp will advise on coaching strategies, playing styles, player development, and recruitment.
Red Bull’s managing director, Oliver Mintzlaff, was determined to secure Klopp for the role. Klopp’s deal includes an exit clause for the Germany job. At 57, Klopp is seen as a potential replacement for current coach Julian Nagelsmann.
